Napa Airport is the gateway to Napa Valley and Sonoma, the best wine areas in California. If you don't have time to visit the local area and just want a day trip, Jonesey's Steak House on field is fantastic, an old fashioned red booth steak house renowned throughout the area.
Yosemite

Mariposa Yosemite Airport is a great little airport tucked in the foothills just below the entrance to Yosemite National Park. Local accomodations are available in the communities of Mariposa or Bass Lake, or accomodations are available inside the park. A rental car is required.
Old Miners Inn

During our trip to Yosemite, we stopped in the nearby town of Mariposa. We actually flew into Mariposa then drove ovr to Yosemite. On the way back to the airport in the early morning, we stopped for breakfast at the Old Miners Inn. It was filled with rustic decor, friendly waitresses, hot coffee and good food. A nice little stop.

On the field but you have to do a little manuvering to get there - you cannot just walk right in. All of the Aero Squadron restaurants are great. Again - any meal is a good one - breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stopped here after a long flight from Florida to California and it was a lot of fun. We met with local friends who come often so this is not just a quickie pilot hangout. Fly in and get a seat watching the plane action on this famous airport (featured in "16 Right").
