Rudy's is about a 10 minute drive form the airport. The FBO can be helpful in arranging transport and there are taxis if you need them.

Rudy's is iconic among the locals. It's "the place" for breakfast if you're looking for the uncensored western Kentucky experience. It's small, to say the least, so you definitely be rubbing shoulders with some of the locals. It's also a good place to buy the local newspaper since there's a machine next to the entrance.

Situated in the historic airport terminal of Bowman Field, Le Relais offers a grand dining experience like no other in Louisville. Here you’ll find exquisite French cuisine, prepared with only the finest, freshest ingredients, combined with relaxed, first-class service and an intimate, 1940s art-deco ambiance (plush banquettes, burled-wood walls, and closely spaced, white-clothed tables) reminiscent of the Café from the movie “Casablanca” .

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park is one of the most outstanding fishing and pleasure boating areas in the Eastern United States. The park includes many different features and recreational facilities. On the park grounds you will find a large quantity of wildlife including thick populations of white tail deer and raccoon. The scenery of Lake Cumberland State Park's nature trails is some of the most beautiful in Kentucky. On a four mile trail in the Lure Lodge area, you can enjoy the wildlife in the beautiful beech, oak, and hickory forest.

Nestled in the beautiful Kentucky Lake area lies Patti's 1880s Settlement. Patti's offers some of the best food in Western Kentucky. They are known for their two-inch pork chops, but many other selections are delicious as well. They are also known for their potted bread, which comes with strawberry butter. Their desserts are also very good - especially their meringue pies! Reservations are usually a good idea, as they are almost always busy. Menu prices are extremely reasonable.

The restaurant will pick you up - the FBO can arrange.

Casa Fiesta mexican resterant here is an awful place to eat. They aren't friendly and the wait that you have to wait for you food is too long. When you do get your food its either cold or not no good. I wouldn't recomend this place to no one.

Aviators can pitch a tent and camp near their aircraft at the airport air camp. The air camp has a central service building with showers and rest rooms. Open year-round. Rate $8.50 per night. No advance reservations.
The park has a 3,200 foot paved and lit airstrip with tie downs. Aviation fuel not available.
